My recent stay at a hotel in Trincomalee was fabulous. The location was convenient, just a few meters from the beach and surrounded by great restaurants and bars. The hotel staff were pretty good too accommodate my every need, arranged everything I asked for. The value for money was amazing, especially considering it was peak season in July.

Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the dated and slightly unclean hotel, I understand that this is to be expected at such a budget-friendly hotel. I didn't appreciate the receptionist attempting to deceive us about the bus schedule in order to promote their own tuk tuk service.
